Stubblefield gives drug users' names

08:50 AM ET 02.07 | Dana Stubblefield, the former All-Pro defensive tackle, provided the National Football League with information about the use of performance-enhancing drugs among players as part of his plea agreement with federal authorities, according to court documents. Stubblefield, 38, was sentenced to two years' probation and fined $5,000 by United States District Judge Susan Illston on Friday in a federal court in San Francisco. Stubblefield pleaded guilty in January 2008 to lying to the federal agent Jeff Novitzky about his use of performance-enhancing drugs in connection with the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative investigation. As part of his cooperation, which led to a more lenient sentence, Stubblefield gave members of the United States attorney's office for the Northern District of California the names of players, trainers and others associated with the league who may still be involved in "activities with illegal drugs in professional football," according to his sentencing documents. Stubblefield, who retired in 2003, also told the authorities about how players were receiving the substances and using them, the documents said.

Whatever man this whole steroids thing is ruining sports... They just need to legalize it otherwise every great player in history of every sport is gonna be questioned was he really that good and the truth is we don't know the answer to that because they didn't use to have the kind of testing we do now... I'm sick of it all I really am and it is tainting every sport... Thats just my opinion but they're never gonna be able to control it, EVER...

Remember Dana those guys will not be happy. Didn't a steroid dealer and his girl freind end up dead a while back after a Pats o-line man ratted him out? Snitches are a dying breed.....
