07:59 AM ET 11.25 | Foxsports.com reports the Angels are more interested in Tigers centerfielder Curtis Granderson than pitcher Edwin Jackson. According to the report, a Tigers executive said the team would rather move Jackson than Granderson. Another person told Foxsports.com that the Angels would be a premier trade partner because of Los Angeles' depth in areas the Tigers need, namely catcher, shortstop and minimum-salary pitching.

Not really since Mathews is a bench player and Vlad is now a DH. Granderson, Hunter and Abreu is a very nice outfield if they can pull it off.

There has been so much smoke around a Granderson trade, that you would think that there is fire. He's a class act, and I would hate to see him leave Detroit, but in our situation with an aging team with many bad contracts, you have to do what you have to do.

If I were Anaheim I'd go for Jackson instead, especially with Lackey hitting the road.

Who knows, maybe they go for both?

It seems like every day the Angels want somebody different.

Reagins has done a pretty good job bringing in horses, this is his first real test in managing and acquiring talent for the halos... the big question is how deep are Moreno's pockets?

November 25, 2009  10:33 AM ET

Jacksons 2nd half of the season was ALARMINGLY different than the first. This is usually a sign of injury and so I can see why the Angels may be scared off. Plus, while Jackson is good, Granderson is a flat out STAR.

Your right about Mathews, but remember, Vlad is gone, and the Angels might move Rivera in a deal!!

Vlad is gone..is that gonna happen? I like him & DH. What's the word on Lackey? I know they were trying, but I don't think they want to give him that much money. Personally I don't think he's worth it. We are going to need another pitcher though. I wish we could get rid of mathews, but no one will take that contract off us.

How much money do the Angels have to spend, its seems they are in the hunt for a lot of FA..

Look for Detroit to be a cellar dweller next year... Unless that Avila kid turns up to be a prodigy next year

I'm not sure Avila having a breakout year can make up for the potential loss of Cabrera, Jackson, Grandy...

I'd hate to see Granderson go, but with all those dumb, high paying contracts Dombrowski dished out the Tigers are gonna have to let some guys go.

November 26, 2009  09:53 AM ET

ya still got Magglio up in the D!

Namely the insane person's contract he gave to Dontrelle Willis. Haven't heard his name in any of these rumblings. I guess the Tigers know they'd get laughed out of the league if they tried to dangle him.

I don't think anyone could have predicted that Willis would be such an insane bust.. Just the tigers luck

I always thought his delivery was problematic. It was deceptive to a point, but the energy required for that high leg kick and the timing of a delivery like that seems to be a hard thing for Willis to maintain. But, he's a lefty, so he will probably hang around for another 10 years..
