06:51 AM ET 10.06 | Baltimore coach John Harbaugh said yesterday he planned to submit film to the NFL office in New York of what he believes were questionable calls in the Ravens' 27-21 loss to the Patriots Sunday at Gillette Stadium. Harbaugh suggested Patriots quarterback Tom Brady got preferential treatment from the officiating crew over his own quarterback, Joe Flacco.

Funny, no one on the Ravens cares to mention the roughing the passer call on Wright, the DL for the Patriots.

The Ravens are portrayed as some "tough" team, but they seem to be nothing but a bunch of whiners. This is getting pathetic.

Oh come on guys didn't we get enough of this one today? Really a lot of other games happened over the weekend do you really have to try and milk this one out two days in a row??

Yeah, I saw that. It was about as bull as the Ravens calls.

Yes and yes. FN does that all the time, milking stories dry. How else would you explain the hundreds of Favre, Plax and Crabtree threads, among countless others? If a story gets traction, they'll have thread about it every day for weeks. Makes their job of looking for stories easier.

Exactly.

So, he's complaining that the officials are watching what happens when he sends a bunch of guys on almost every down? Statistically, Bawlimer got to Brady more often than the Pats got to Flacco, so you'd expect more calls.

The call on Wright was crap. His hand just brushed Flacco's facemask. But, IT WAS THE RIGHT CALL. That's the rule. If you don't like the rules, go to the Competition Committee at the end of the year.

And while you're at it, Johnny Boy, don't get in the ref's face and yell words synonymous with "Bull manure." That's how you got the Unsportsmanlike call. It's also not the way to win friends on the officiating crew.

"Baltimore coach John Harbaugh said yesterday he planned to submit film to the NFL office in New York..."

I'll betcha they already have it, John.

Losing can be a real pisser.

October 6, 2009  07:42 AM ET

Why wouldn't he get preferential treatment? He's the face of the league. He IS the NFL! They've already changed rules for him. The ref's all want to be like him as do all the players and fans! Why shouldn't he get preferential treatment I ask, why!?

Morning Havoc - yes, Ray Ray was in fine form afterwards. I can see his point, though...

The Pats hit Flacco fives times really hard and one of them excessive when Gaither went out of the game and no flags. Harbaugh submitted films of the game for NFL review. It is usually one sided when they officiate a Ravens game. Remember the invisible head slap called on Suggs last year to help the Titans stay undefeated. The main concern of the NFL is their wallet. Did you also notice they didn't show a replay of the supposed hit on Brady by Ngata. Just maybe his hand never touched the helmet.

It happens in all sports..goes with the territory..a few years from now so will Flacco..

Morning Otis. I agree with you.

Preferential treatment? of course Brady did. Anyone wearing a skirt get preferential treatment.

The NFL needs to change one rule. Alow the coaches to throw the red flag on questionable penalties. That is the only way your going to fix this problem.

The penalties called on the Ravins were a joke. And I don't even like the Ravins!

Christ, the game would never end.

They need to make sure they reserve the 8mm projector from the AV guys!

Wait - are the Ravens suggesting that guys like Brady, Manning, and other star QB's might receive preferential treatment? Are they going to accuse Charlie Weis of being a bit overweight next?

Harbaugh sent video to the NCAA showing Charlie devouring mass amounts of Krispy Kremes. The video had to be lapsed though because the film went on for days.

You speak the truth that everyone knows but doesn't want to admit. Jordan got calls, Troy Aikman, the list goes on. It happens.
