05:46 AM ET 07.24 | The scout dragged into the headlines when Mets VP for player development Tony Bernazard unleashed a verbal assault on another team official essentially confirmed the Daily News' exclusive report of the incident. Multiple sources indicated that Bernazard wanted a seat behind home plate at Citi Field that was occupied by Gomez. When the Mets' manager of baseball operations, who was seated in the section, suggested that they wait until the end of the half-inning to shift seats to minimize the disruption of working scouts, Bernazard unleashed a profanity-laced verbal assault on the Mets official. General manager Omar Minaya said Wednesday that the organization has launched an investigation into multiple incidents of alleged misconduct by Bernazard.

Funny... you're a scout for... THE METS!!! Not exactly a bevvy of top-notch picks in the system.

Always a good idea to exit (at least, I'D fire his ass) on a bad note, burning bridges on the way out, after doing a sub-mediocre job for a grossly underachieving team.
