07:44 AM ET 06.19 | Magglio Ordonez, homerless in a career-high 38 straight games, is on the bench indefinitely. Manager Jim Leyland said he believes he's "tried everything" to get Ordonez ignited. He has moved him around the batting order. He has given him days off. Ordonez has taken extra hitting practice and studied tapes of his at-bats.

Which probably means they'll move Granderson around in the order yet again ... if they could get him in the same slot for any significant amount of time he'd be twice the monster he is already ...

Well, there really is little protection that could be offered to Cabby no matter who you are. Hopefully we find someone via trade soon. Grandy is our spark-plug... When he hits we get goin offensively. Having in the top of the order is great- but I look forward to seeing him moved down as he matures still...

This guy has really dropped off quickly from his 2006-08 production.

LOL Good call. Either that or use a larger needle because it appears the roids arent getting into his system.

I am pretty sure the users have moved onto HGH since there is no availible tests that the MLB no Union will agree to administer...

The problem is Detroit has no farm system and a bunch of awful contracts. Good luck!

How's Ordonez's $18M payout in 2009 with a $3M buyout for 2010 feeling now, Ilitch? Did Matt Millen help provide advice on how to run the Tigers?

And kudos to Pale Rider for providing a nice bit of humor this morning.

I guess I missed the memo where Ordonez is a "power hitter" on our squad. FYI, roids don't help reaction speed. Bad speed maybe, but you still need to see and locate the ball.

Cut'em!...and see if Bobby Higginson will come back. Seriously Raburn, Clete or Thames can pick up the slack until next year. But they better get Curtis and Miguel some help real soon.

HA Bobby Higginson. Biggest **** ever. I wouldn't be surprised if he was asking for spare change somewhere outside of Comerica Park.
